DHC's Pioneering Journey into VR/AR Technology for the Dental Industry

At DHC, we take pride in being trailblazers in our field. In 2018, we embarked on a groundbreaking journey by launching a division dedicated to offering VR/AR technology to the dental industry. This move marked a significant milestone for us, as we became the first in the industry to make such a bold move.

Our decision to venture into VR/AR technology was driven by a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the dental industry, particularly in the realm of education. We recognized that there was a glaring lack of access to software and hardware learning tools, which hindered the progress of dental professionals.

To address this issue, we turned to VR headsets as a solution. We firmly believed that VR was not just the future, but the present, offering real-time education, lecturing, communication, and collaboration among dentists, laboratories, and patients. This innovative approach seamlessly integrated into our DHC ecosystem, as our PCs were already VR ready, capable of meeting the minimum requirements for connected VR headsets.

During this time, we also witnessed the emergence of Microsoft's HoloLens, which was quickly gaining traction in the industry. This further validated our belief in the power of VR/AR technology to revolutionize the dental industry.

As we look back on our journey, we are proud of the strides we have made in advancing the use of VR/AR technology in dentistry. We remain committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation, ensuring that dental professionals have access to the best tools and technologies to enhance their practice.
